The first version of this song was just an instrumental demo I made in 2008. Initially it just had guitar, bass guitar, and some cruddy drum machine. It was a bit slower, didn't have words, and was very sloppy. The idea of "Eel-Mart" first came from my friend Dave and I joking with each other and our science teacher, Ms. Stata, in our sophomore year of high school. We just liked the idea of a chain of stores that only carried eels and eel products. I put the two together when my pal Biff asked me to contribute a song to a compilation of 30 second long songs. It took me too long to get it ready for that, but it's done now, and here it is.
